Welcome to Cohort VI

April 13 – May 6, 2026 · 12 Classes · Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday · 6–8:30 PM EST
La'Kera's Note

You made it. Out of everyone who wanted to be here, you're one of the women who actually showed up — and that already says something about you. This cohort was built to take you from "I kind of understand trading" to "I have a strategy, a trade plan, and I know how to execute." Six months together. One month of learning, five months of guided application. A final class where you present a real trade and hear exactly what La'Kera would do if she were sitting in your seat. Then graduation on May 9 — streamed for the whole community to see. Let's go.

Month 1 — Learning Phase

April 13 – May 6. Twelve classes across four weeks — Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings plus Thursday Q&A. This is where you learn the foundations, strategies, and execution framework from scratch.

3 classes/week Thursday Q&A Graduation May 9

Months 2–6 — Application Phase

May – October 2026. You'll be applying everything you learned — trading, journaling, building consistency. Show up to weekly Q&A and your accountability check-ins so we can refine as you go. By the end of six months, you're good.

Weekly Q&A Accountability check-ins

Month 1 is intense by design. We meet 3x per week plus Q&A because you need the foundations locked in before you start applying. In the Application Phase, the structure shifts — it's Q&A and accountability. You'll be trading, and I want you showing up so we can refine your execution together. The goal is that at the end of 6 months, you're not just educated — you're executing.

Assignments & Quizzes
What's required — and what's optional.

Assignments — Required

  • Submitted in Google Classroom — in the thread for that specific class.
  • Due every Sunday 11:59 PM (exception: Class 10 due Wed May 6).
  • On-time submissions = Entry 1 into the Graduation Drop.

Quizzes — Optional

  • 100% optional. Not graded. Won't affect your standing.
  • Available in Google Classroom after select classes.
  • Take them as many times as you want — no limit.
  • Your personal comprehension check, not homework.
Accountability Partners
La'Kera matched you intentionally — this pairing was not random. Trust it.

Your accountability partner is your person inside this cohort. You'll be in every breakout room together, checking in each week, and cheering each other on. Think of her as your built-in support system — someone who gets what you're going through because she's going through it too. It's more than a friendship — it's a partnership.

Weekly Check-In — Five Things

At least once between every class — ideally mid-week.

Did you do the assignment? If not, no judgment — just make a plan for when you will.

Did you practice on charts? Even 15 minutes of replay counts — every rep matters.

What's one thing that clicked from last class?

What's one thing you're still unsure about? If you're both confused — post it in Circle together.

How are you feeling 1–10? If your partner says below 5, check in a little deeper. That's what you're here for.

What Great Partners Do ✓

  • Give your partner a heads up if you'll miss class
  • Check in mid-week — don't wait until the night before
  • Be honest when you're struggling or feeling lost
  • Hype each other up in share-backs
  • Send a quick voice note if she misses a class

Things to Be Mindful Of ✕

  • Grading each other's work — leave that to La'Kera
  • Acting like one of you knows more — you're learning together
  • Feeling like you need to be available 24/7 — the weekly check-in is enough
  • Disappearing when things get hard — that's when your partner needs you most
  • Watching your partner fall behind without gently checking in
  • Being anything less than honest on the partner survey

If things aren't working with your partner — maybe she's missed a few classes, gone quiet, or you're just not connecting — reach out to La'Kera. We can reassign you to another pair or trio. It's not personal, and it's nothing to feel bad about. You deserve a partner who's as invested as you are.

One-on-One Sessions
Personalized time with La'Kera — because sometimes you just need that 1-on-1 attention.

As part of your cohort experience, you get four 30-minute one-on-one sessions with me. These are your chance to get individualized guidance on anything you need — whether it's reviewing a specific trade, working through a concept that's not clicking, refining your trade plan, or talking through your mindset.

The booking link will be posted in Circle. Use these wisely — four sessions across six months gives you real checkpoints to make sure you're on the right track.

Introduction to Trading
Let's start with the basics — what we're actually doing here and why.

What Are Futures?

A futures contract is basically an agreement to buy or sell something at a specific price on a future date. Think of it like locking in a price today for something you'll settle later. In our case, we're trading NQ (Nasdaq-100 futures) and MNQ (Micro Nasdaq) — which track the biggest tech companies in the market.

The beautiful thing about futures? You don't need to own any stocks. You're simply trading the price movement of the market — and you can make money whether it goes up or down. That flexibility is exactly why we trade futures in this cohort.

Why Futures Over Everything Else
💪Leverage — control big positions with a small account
↕️Both directions — profit whether the market goes up or down
💧Liquid — easy to get in and out, especially on NQ
🕐Flexible hours — the market is open nearly 24 hours, 5 days a week
📊Transparent — standardized contracts, real-time data, no guessing

What we're learning over the next 6 months is HOW to know which direction — and when. Market structure, supply & demand, candlestick behavior, session timing. We don't predict — we read probability.

The Core Logic

That's the whole game.

We Buy

If we expect the market to go UP — buy low, sell higher.

We Sell

If we expect the market to go DOWN — sell high, buy back lower.

What we're learning is HOW to know which direction — and when.

Here's how that looks with an everyday example.

👜
Buy Example — The Handbag
Step 1 · Spot It

You spot a limited-edition bag. You believe demand is about to spike.

$10,000
Step 2 · Buy It

One week later, other buyers are paying…

$15,000
Step 3 · Sell It

You sell. Profit:

+$5,000 💸

In trading, the bag is a futures contract. Buy it expecting price to rise, sell for profit. Same exact logic.

🔄
Sell (Short) Example — The Resale
Step 1 · Borrow & Sell

The bag is selling for $15K. You don't own it — you borrow it and sell it now.

$15,000
Step 2 · Price Drops

A new edition drops. Demand falls. Price drops to…

$13,000
Step 3 · Buy It Back

Buy it back at $13K, return it.

+$2,000 💸

In futures, you can profit when the market goes down — without ever owning anything. That's the power of short selling.

Platform Setup
Before you can trade, you need the right tools. They all involve charts, but they each do a completely different job.

Three Types of Tools

A lot of new traders get confused because these platforms all involve charts. Here's what actually separates them.

CHARTING PLATFORM 📊 TradingView Read the market · Analyze Draw zones · Build your bias Premium · $60/mo BACKTESTING / REPLAY FXReplay Practice on historical data Build skill · Zero risk Pro · $35/mo BROKER / EXECUTION 💰 Tradovate or NinjaTrader Place real trades · Your money lives here Free + commissions
Think of It Like This
The Athlete, the Track, & Race Day

Imagine you want to become a professional sprinter. You wouldn't just show up to race day — you'd study, practice, then compete. Trading works the exact same way.

📽️
The Film Room

You sit down before every practice and study footage. You watch how the best athletes position their bodies, where they gain ground. You draw on the footage, mark the moments that matter, and build your game plan. You're not running yet — you're learning to see.

= TradingView
Study · Analyze · Plan
🏃‍♀️
The Practice Track

This is where you lace up and run — without the pressure of a real race. You replay the same course over and over. You practice your start, your stride, your finish. No cameras. No judges. No money on the line. Just reps. This is where skill is built.

= FXReplay
Practice · Drill · Build Skill
🏆
Race Day

This is the real thing. The clock is running and the prize money is real. Everything you studied in the film room and practiced on the track gets tested here. You do not show up to race day without logging serious hours in both first.

= Tradovate
Execute · Real Money · Real Results

The athletes who go straight to race day without practicing are the ones who get hurt. In trading, that looks like blowing through a funded account before you're ready. Give yourself the gift of preparation — study on TradingView, practice on FXReplay, execute on Tradovate. Each platform has one job. Trust the process.

📊

TradingView

Your Charting Platform — Where You Study the Market

TradingView is a cloud-based charting and analysis platform. It runs in your browser and is the industry standard for visual chart analysis, drawing tools, and pre-session preparation. TradingView is NOT a brokerage — you cannot execute live trades through it.

Why You Need It
  • Clean, customizable charts — much easier for analysis than NinjaTrader
  • Multi-timeframe analysis — view NQ on weekly, daily, hourly, and 5-minute at once
  • Pre-session prep — identify key levels, mark structure, plan your bias before every session
  • Pine Script indicators — access community-built indicators including ones shared in cohort
You Need Premium ($60/mo)

The lower-tier plans don't unlock the 15-second timeframe, which is one of the key timeframes we use in our strategy work. You'll want Premium for this.

FeatureFreeEssential $15Plus $30Premium $60 ✓

Setup Steps

Create account at tradingview.com and upgrade to Premium.

Copy La'Kera's chart layout: tradingview.com/chart/G2OkD1Yq/ — click three dots → "Save As" → name it "PP Cohort Setup."

Or set up manually: search NQ1! → set 15-second timeframe → save layout as "PP Cohort – NQ Analysis."

TradingView Replay vs FXReplay: TradingView has a basic bar replay feature, but it's not a replacement for FXReplay. TradingView replay is limited to single charts — think of it as watching a highlight reel versus actually running the drill. Use TradingView for analysis. Use FXReplay for repetition.

FXReplay

Your Practice Room — Where Skill Gets Built

FXReplay lets you load historical price data and replay it bar-by-bar — time-traveling through the market to practice entries, exits, and decision-making without risking real money. It supports NQ, ES, and MNQ with tick-level data.

Why You Need It
  • Skill-building without risk — take thousands of practice trades before real capital
  • Replay at your own pace — speed up, pause at key moments, review decisions
  • Isolate your strategy — test a specific setup across months of data
  • Track stats — simulated P&L, win rate, average win/loss like real performance
  • All assignments from Weeks 2–4 require FXReplay using NQ1!
You Need Pro ($35/mo)

The Basic plan does not support futures backtesting. Pro is required for NQ/MNQ.

FeatureBasic $49Pro $35 ✓
Futures backtestingNoYES

Multi-chart replayNoYes

Setup Steps

Create account at fxreplay.com — start free trial, then subscribe to Pro.

Load NQ futures data: click "New Session" → search NQ → select a date 30+ days in the past.

Set simulated balance to match your target account size (e.g. $50,000).

Apply same indicators you use in real trading so replay mirrors live conditions.

The Practice Rule

Before trading any new setup with real money, I'd love for you to have at least 30–50 documented replay sessions on that setup in FXReplay. I know that sounds like a lot, but trust me — the confidence you'll feel going live after putting in those reps is worth it. This is how we protect your capital and your peace of mind.

💰

Tradovate / NinjaTrader

Your Broker — Where Real Money Moves

A broker is a licensed financial intermediary that connects you to the market and holds your money. It's the platform where your trades actually happen. Tradovate and NinjaTrader are the same company — just pick whichever feels right and you're good to go.

Required

A brokerage account with Tradovate or NinjaTrader. This is where your money lives and your trades are placed.

Optional

NinjaTrader 8 (NT8) desktop platform. Advanced charting and automation — but not needed to trade. La'Kera uses Tradovate web.

Mac Users: Just use the Tradovate web platform at app.tradovate.com. It works great in browser — no download needed. NT8's desktop app only runs on Windows.

Why You Need a Broker
  • Your actual execution platform — where buy and sell orders hit real markets
  • Supported by most prop firms (Tradeify, MyFundedFutures, LucidPro, etc.)
  • Without a brokerage connection, all your analysis is hypothetical
Setup Steps

Go to tradovate.com (or ninjatrader.com) → "Open Account." Select Individual or Entity (LLC).

Complete identity verification — government ID and SSN (or EIN for LLC).

Set up your simulation account — look for "Demo" in the account switcher. Set balance to match your target live account size.

Get this done before Class 2 (Tuesday) — Futures Basics will reference Tradovate.

Trading as an LLC (Optional but Smart)

When you open your account, you can register under an LLC instead of your personal name. Benefits include tax advantages (deduct subscriptions, education, equipment), liability protection, and legitimacy with banks and prop firms. Steps: choose your state (FL, WY, or DE popular), register through your state's Division of Corporations ($100–150), get an EIN from IRS (free), open a business bank account, and select "Entity" when opening your brokerage.

Disclaimer: LLC information is for educational purposes only. Always consult a licensed CPA or business attorney before making legal or tax decisions.

Your Full Setup Checklist

Confirm everything is ready before your first session.

From La'Kera

You're not just learning to trade — you're building something real. The women who take their setup seriously, who practice in replay before going live, and who treat their pre-market routine like the professionals they're becoming? Those are the ones who make it. I built this guide so you don't have to figure any of it out alone. Trust the process, get your reps in, and let's go.
